New Products In Our Pipeline
Secucontrol is proud to announce several new additions to our product portfolio. The new developments will help to improve substation design worldwide. Three new products are already available (a, b, c). Another product is just being finalized (d), and even more are around the corner to come.
a) The Safety Test Switch (ST Switch) is designed as a better-than-equivalent replacement for FT Switches. The finger-safe construction, integrated banana jacks and the mature operating principle contribute to a much safer and easier testing procedure than it is possible with legacy test switches. Status windows allow users to see into the interior of the test switch and indicate whether contacts are open or closed. The rear connection terminals make cabling easy and are conveniently labeled.
b) The Leverage Test Plug (LTP) features a sophisticated leverage mechanism which makes insertion blindingly easy. The mechanism guarantees that the plug is properly aligned before the plug fingers are inserted into the block. This way, canting is completely avoided and the load transmission of the lever facilitates effortless insertion. The test technician does not need as much dexterity and can focus on the actual testing procedure.
c) The Long Test Block (LTB) is equipped with an elongated back which is intended to be flush with adjacent devices. Attached cables can be shorter and better aligned. At the same time, rack plates can be put tighter together, conserving space for other equipment.
d) The Drawout Case Test Plug (DOC) is the next product in our development pipeline to be released. The DOC is a test plug for General Electric (G.E.) type drawout case relays and meters. It allows for easy insertion into the drawout case in order to redirect the circuits to the front, while not opening them. The finger-safe interface allows for the performance of various operations. Current measurement can be done safely and easily without extensive pre-wiring.
